Growing up in London, Ontario, at the age of 13 Karina started playing volleyball for the Forest City Volleyball Club. Karina attended Oakridge Secondary School where she played volleyball throughout and coached during her senior years. Karina moved on to play for the Fanshawe College Volleyball Team for two successful years. Karina competed against some of the best colleges in Ontario. Karina played libero and during her first year earned a spot on the all star team. Both years the team went on to win their divisions and place fifth at the OCAA's. Karina began playing beach volleyball as a summer hobby, and soon came to love the sport. Karina continues to develop her skills by playing indoor and beach on a weekly basis. She would like to share her knowledge of the game with others and continue to grow as a player and coach. |
