Jennifer began her competitive volleyball career when she was 13 with the Forest City volleyball club and continued to play until her graduating year in 2010. With much hard work and desire for volleyball, she continued to improve each year. She was captain of her team and received the award of Excellence in her 2007-2008 season as well as the award of Achievement in her 2008-2009 season with coach Vaughn Peckham. To finish her last season with Forest City in 2010, they ended successfully placing first at Nationals, division 2. She attended Saunders Secondary school where she was on the volleyball team and a leader for four years being team captain and MVP in 2007-2008 and 2009-2010. Jennifer also won two championships while at Saunders, TVRAA and WOSAA, in 2008 and 2009 as well as the Headmaster's sportsmanship award in 2007 and 2010.

Jen currently is at York University where she plays on the varsity volleyball team. She began her season with a rough start as a red shirt because of breaking her tibia a few weeks prior to the season beginning. However, through hard work with her physiotherapists and dedication to training in the first semester, she was asked to dress and play as a defensive specialist for the remainder of the season once she was healed, to be a back court specialist. The Lions had a very successful season with a record of 14-5 and a first place finish in the East division.

Jennifer joined the Zephyr volleyball club during her 2008 summer and began her love for the beach game. Jen and her partner Mackenzie Lawrence won Tier 2 Provincials in 2008 and placed 3rd in Tier 2 at Nationals the following year.

She is looking forward to coaching this season!
