Johanna started playing FCVC in grade7 and fell in love with the game right away. Throughout her years in Forest City, her team received 2nd and 3rd at Nationals under the amazing coaching of Vaughan Peckham. Johanna also attended Saunders Secondary, where she was captain and helped the team win 4 straight TVRAA Championships and 3 trips to OFSAA. Throughout high school she competed in many OVA Beach Tournaments with Stephanie Kantzos. Johanna just finished her second year at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut. In her first year, she recorded a team 91 blocks and was named Enterprise Rent-A-Car/SHU student-athlete. As a team, they reached 2nd place in the NEC conference. In her second year, Johanna was named to Madison Bingaman Memorial Tournament and Holly Young Invitational all-tournament teams and NEC Second Team All-Star. This past season, she also helped her team to a win at the NEC Conference Championship and a trip to the Division 1 NCAA Tournament where they played 2nd seed Nebraska in front of 6,000 people. Johanna is looking forward to coach this summer at Port Stanley! |
