• your most memorable summers in sport start here

Twenty summers ago, this all started with a simple idea: introduce youth to the game that has given us so much - and do it outside, learning, connecting, and loving the experience of summer in the sand.

That purpose has never changed. We want kids to feel like kids - moving, competing, and building friendships in the fresh air, away from screens.

As we head into our 20th summer, we’re re-committing to our standard of being the most competitive beach volleyball club in Canada, built on two decades of experience and development.

We’re excited to introduce 3 streams of programming that meet your child wherever they are in their beach volleyball game.

Check out the descriptions, mark your calendars, and get ready for a special summer outside.

We can’t wait to celebrate our 20th summer with you!

Zephyr High Performance

Zephyr High Performance team is a high-performance beach volleyball program designed for motivated 15U–18U athletes who are ready to commit to full-time, high-level training in the sand.

This program represents the evolution of our former Tournament Team, expanding both the training frequency and the support environment for athletes with aspirations beyond local competition. Zephyr High Performance is built for athletes focused on long-term development, provincial and national competition, and post-secondary volleyball pathways.

Training will take place three times per week, with structured technical sessions, game-play development, and additional support in areas such as competition planning, nutrition, and mental performance. The program is led by experienced, certified coaches and is designed to complement — not compete with — provincial and national team pathways.

Please note this program is not first-come, first-served. Athletes will apply to the program, either with a partner or individually, and selections will be made based on competitive experience, performance level, and demonstrated high-performance habits.

  • New! After a successful launch in 2024 of our Tournament Team we are excited to announce an enhancement to our high performance stream. We don not have a minimum or maximum number of participants. We are focused on building Program for athletes in Southhwesten Ontario with aspirations beyond local competition.

Zephyr Competitive

Beach season is here! The Zephyr Competitive stream is the core of our beach club and caters to all players looking to up their game in the sand. These practices will be focused on fundamentals, working with a teammate, and on understanding strategy for competition in tournament play. Athletes will experience skills, drills, and game play situations to get better at all things beach. If you have some experience with volleyball (played on your school team? Club team? Plans to play a tourney or 2 this summer? Just love the game and want to hone your skills?) – this is the right place for you.

  • New! Cancellations and refunds will only be accepted for injuries or force majeure. If you are prioritizing another sport and waiting on that schedule to be released, we recommend choosing the 'pay offline' feature. Please understand your spot will not be guaranteed until paid in full.

    • Players will be assigned to a court with similarly skilled athletes.

    • Throughout the summer, players will take part in nights of Work-Up Court across all 10 courts.

    • Coach to athlete ratio is 1:10

If you are registering with a partner, please note that each partner must register. We recommend doing that at the same time, as registration fills up quickly. If only one player registers, that does not secure a spot for the other player.

Our registration system runs through a platform called SportsEngine:

    • The 1st step requires the registering person to sign-up for a Sportsengine account.

    • Prior to your first BVA program registration, your new account must be verified via an email sent to you from Sportsengine.

    • Parents can register more than one child from their account. All acknowledgements and receipts will be emailed to the registering parent.

    • Each registration will require entry of basic information for the BVA athlete, Parent(s)/Guardian(s), and possibly the athlete´s partner.

    • Registration(s) can be completed by paying online (credit card or PayPal), or by cash or cheque at your child’s first practice.

    • If you prefer to pay by cash or e-transfer, you can choose ‘pay offline’. Registration is not guaranteed until paid in full.

    • Confirmation and a receipt will be emailed to the person who initiated the registration

  • We’re so proud to have coaches that have played at some of the highest levels both locally and abroad, and more importantly, that are excellent humans and role models for the next generation of athletes. Many of our coaches spent their own childhood summers in the BVA themselves, and seeing them back in the sand each summer is an illustration of the positive impact this game can have on a person’s life.

Your child will have the influence of multiple coaches through the summer.

  • Our job is to meet your athlete where they are, and to provide an experience that supports their intent for the sport.

    Working toward an NCAA scholarship?

    Shifting from indoor to beach?

Nervous and brand new to the sport?

All of this is great - we’ve got you covered.

We spend the first few weeks of the summer gauging athlete skill levels and shifting players to appropriate courts. Our 14 court facility and low coach to player are key elements in our ability to do this.

  • All sessions take place at the North London Athletic Fields, located on Adelaide Street near Kipps Lane.

  • Follow us here on Instagram. This is a quick way for us to communicate about things like inclement weather, and a great spot to find photos and event updates throughout the summer.
